Fee for service plan
Most services at the Axis Neurotherapy and Wellness Coaching Center can be paid on a fee for service basis. This is the traditional model, in which payment is made at the time the service is delivered, as in psychotherapy services.
If your health insurance plan covers our psychological services, you will use the fee for service approach. If you have Health Savings Account (HSA) or a Medical Savings Account (MSA), you may be able to use this plan to pay on a fee for service basis.
Service Package Plans
For some of our services we give you the option of paying a fixed amount for a "package" of services. For example, we offer a plan for intensive neurofeedback training in the office for one price. You can also combine neurofeedback with hypnotherapy, wellness coaching and heartmath.
If you are not able to make use of health insurance coverage to pay for our services, you may want to consider this option. You could make use of your HSA or MSA. You could use a home equity loan.
Cash, checks, or credit and debit cards can be used either for the fee for service approach or the fixed price plans.
Non-participating or out of network providers
Health insurance benefits for psychological or behavioral health services are poor. The number and types of visits are limited. Reimbursement rates are very low. The paperwork demanded by many managed care companies is quite extensive and time consuming, and must be repeated very frequently.
These are some of the reasons why so few highly experienced providers of mental health services are willing to serve as providers for health insurers. This is why the Axis Neurotherapy and Wellness Coaching Center staff by and large do not serve as insurance providers as well.
No ANWCC staff serve as providers for other health insurers.
You will need to pay at the time of your visit. We will provide you with a statement that contains all the information you need to submit for reimbursement from you insurer.
